Musicians without Borders
Musicians without Borders uses the power of music to bridge divides, connect communities, and heal the wounds of war. Their long-term commitment allows their participants the time to develop skills and talents, process grief and loss, and build bridges of reconciliation in societies divided by recent or ongoing conflict. Their professional trainers are specialized in running community music projects with people dealing with trauma, fear and isolation as a result of war and conflict. They work closely with local musicians and organizations to build sustainable projects in response to local needs.
Music Action International
Music Action International transform lives destroyed by war, torture and armed conflict, and connect divided communities through the power of music. Their specialist team, many of whom have themselves experienced the effects of war and armed conflict, are trained to support highly traumatised survivors, using music as a way of improving mental, emotional health and building trust through creative expression in physically and emotionally safe environments.
Amnesty International campaign for justice wherever it has been denied. They protect people, defending their right to freedom, truth and dignity. They do this by investigating and exposing abuses, galvanizing their global movement of seven million people and educating future generations so that one day the dream of human rights for all becomes a reality. Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organisation. They received the Nobel Peace Prize for their life-saving work.
