Partnerships Workshops are the heart of Common and Kind. We use music in educational and inspiring workshops to show that, in music as in wider society, we have more in common than things which divide.

In 2017, we launched the Partnership Workshops programme,

bringing together fourteen choirs with refugee and asylum seeker groups from across London.

The programme expanded in 2018. We brought together schools from Tower Hamlets, Newham, Hackney and Enfield, and created more partnerships between adult choirs and refugee groups. This is expanding in 2019.

In workshops, groups from different walks of life, different educational sectors and different faiths meet,

sing together and explore how language can be used

to divide or unite in music and in wider society.

All workshop participants sing together in the massed choir of 400,

and have the opportunity to perform live with world class solo artists.
