Partnerships Workshops are the heart of Common and Kind.

In 2016, the massed choir assembled spontaneously. In 2017, we launched the Partnership Workshops programme,

bringing together fourteen choirs with refugee and asylum seeker groups from across London.

The programme is expanding in 2018. We are bringing together schools from Tower Hamlets, Barnet, Newham, Bromley, Hackney, Enfield and Essex, and creating more partnerships between choirs and refugee groups.

In workshops, groups from different parts of town, different walks of life, different educational sectors and different faiths meet,

sing together and explore how language can be used

to divide and unite, in music and in society.

All workshop participants sing together in the massed choir of 400,

and have the opportunity to perform live with world class solo artists.
